 Barbara M. Kennedy, 69, of Elizabethtown, PA, passed away April 29, 2015. She was the loving wife of Amos E. Kennedy, Jr., and they celebrated 52 years of marriage October 2014. Born in Lancaster, Barbara was the daughter of Lena M. Mulwane Quickel of Elizabethtown and the late John E. Quickel Sr. She had been employed at AMP/Tyco for 25 years and retired in 2007. A member of the Elizabethtown Mennonite Church, Barbara enjoyed sewing, going to yard sales, cooking, baseball (especially the Barnstormers), and riding motorcycle.

Surviving in addition to her husband are four children: Tammy J. (Samuel) McNew, Mount Joy; Edward A. Kennedy, Marietta; Terry L. Kennedy, Columbia; and Jodi L. Herr, York; five grandchildren, Chad Kennedy, Eryn Kennedy, Devin Kennedy, Brendan McNew, and Nate Herr; two great grandchildren. A brother, John E. Quickel, Jr, preceded Barbara in death.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service honoring Barbara’s life 7:30 P.M. Friday, May 8, 2015, at the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home and Crematory 130 N. Market Street Elizabethtown, PA. Friends may call from 6 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Barbara’s memory to Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis at Penn State Hershey Medical Center C/O Office of University Development P.O.
