Clair D. Shearer

Clair Dunkleberger Shearer, 85, of Elizabethtown, PA, entered into eternal rest July 1, 2015.  He was the devoted husband of Jeannette Palen Raulerson, celebrating 58 years of marriage.

Born in New Kingston, PA, Clair was the son of the late James Franklin Shearer & Anna Mary Dunkelberger.  He graduated from Dillsburg HS & Messiah College and was drafted during the Korean Conflict.  

Clair resided in Frederickburg, VA; Frederick, MD; Wellsville, Shillington, West Lawn & Elizabethtown, PA.  

He is survived by a daughter, Meg (Marc) Poussard of Poway, CA; two grandchildren, Marina and Nadya Poussard; nieces, Mrs. Robert Long & Mrs. Steven Treier; nephews John & James Shearer and preceded in death by a sister Sarah and brothers John & Jim.

Clair was a faithful Episcopalian, but attended Sell Chapel while at the Masonic Village.  Clair worked for Sears Roebuck & Co. for 40 years; he was a 50-year member of Lodge #62 Reading, PA also York Rite bodies Chapter #23; Enoch Council #10 & Jacques Demolay Commandery #4.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service honoring Clair's Life.  Family will receive friends at 1:30 PM; with a Memorial Service at 2 PM Saturday, July 11, 2015 in Sell Chapel at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, PA (Follow Freemason Drive; make the 2nd right; then the chapel will be on the left).  Interment is to be determined.
