Doris Jean (Shearer) Berrier, 86, of Elizabethtown passed away peacefully on Friday, November 17, 2017 at the Masonic Village, Elizabethtown.  She was born Monday, August 31, 1931 in Highspire to the late Charles L. and Catherine A. (Fink) Shearer.   She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Mark Gordon Berrier.      

Doris was a graduate of Elizabethtown High School and Central Penn Business College.  She retired from Erie Insurance.  She was a faithful member of Christ Church UCC.  Doris was a member of the Elizabethtown Women’s Club.  She looked forward to vacationing every year in Stone Harbor with her family.  Most importantly she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. 

She is survived by 5 daughters, Cynthia M. Bennett and husband Roy, Linda J. Rogers and husband Stephen, Kimberly A. Wolgemuth and husband Scott, Elizabeth A. Gruber and husband Marlin, and Barbara S. Berrier; 6 granddaughters; 1 grandson; and 8 great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by a brother, Donald Shearer. 

A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 27, 2017 at noon at Christ Church United Church of Christ, 247 S. Market St., Elizabethtown 17022 with Rev. Dr. Galen E. Russell, III and Rev. Dr. Frederick A. Young officiating.  Family and friends are invited for visitation from 11 AM until time of the service.  Burial will be private at the convenience of the family in Grand View Memorial Park, Annville.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N. Market St., Elizabethtown 17022. 

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Masonic Village Hospice, 1 Masonic Dr., Elizabethtown 17022 or to Christ Church UCC.
