Bob was a good friend for 5 years beginning at USAF Officer training in San Antonio TX and the four years we were stationed at McGuire AFB in New Jersey.
I had lost contact with Bob over the past 50+ years but I will always remember his quick wit and sense of humor.
My best wishes to Ann Kratz. He will always be remembered.

During the time Bob served as the Superintendent of the Shippensburg School System, he and his family were our neighbors. Bob and I were Rotarians and attended the Presbyterian Church in town. I was pleased he asked me to serve on a committee of Shippensburg citizens charged with making recommendations for improvement of the school system. One thing stands out among many memories of Bob Kratz: His incredible sense of humor. I cannot recall anyone else I have ever known who had such a tremendous wit. I'd guess Heaven is a happier place since Bob Kratz arrived. He will not be forgotten.

Bob's passing was met with great sadness. He was a lifelong friend and classmate. We had many great adventures together in our youth. He was a noted member of Council Rock's first basketball team and a leader in the local Boy Scout troop.
For Ann and Eric, proudly remember an outstanding person. May he rest in peace.

I knew Bob when he was a student at Temple University. It was my pleasure to be one of his instructors. He demonstrated outstanding intelligence, diligence, and perseverance in completing his studies. It was an honor to count him as one of our distinguished alumni. May his family find comfort in the promises of our Lord during this time of sorrow and remembrance.

Dr. Kratz was a tremendous leader, with Elizabethtown Area School District, and always had a presence that was intellectual and warm! My prayers to the Kratz family and reassurance that all who associated with Bob admired and respected him! Certain he will be fly fishing the best of heaven streams forever!!
