Faye Lokey Obituary

Faye A. Lokey, Bainbridge, passed away suddenly in Davenport, Florida on Thursday, December 27, 2018.   She was the beloved wife of John Lokey, Bainbridge, for 58 years and the daughter of the late Jerome Hitz and Kathryn Heilman Hitz.

She was preceded in death by son Randy S. Lokey, Bainbridge husband to Pamela, brother Edward Hitz and sister Nancy Thompson.  She is survived by daughter, Diane Lokey of Mount Joy, sister Carol Doyle wife of Michael Doyle of Old Fort, NC, daughter –in-law Pamela Lokey, Bainbridge, grandchildren Derek Lokey husband of Diane, Lakeland, FL and Alli Lokey wife of Vinny Ascroff, Philadelphia and great grandchildren Austin and Ava Lokey and Vinny Asroff, Jr.   She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Faye was born in Campbelltown, Pa on September 23, 1938 and graduated from Hershey High School and Lancaster General Hospital School of Nursing as a registered nurse.  She spent many years working at Lehman’s Nursing Home, Rheems and Masonic Village, Elizabethtown.

Faye loved her sports and attending Diane and Randy’s contests through the years then following that passion attending all of Derek and Alli’s events.  She could often be seen on the sidelines of Elizabethtown High School Bears games, Lock Haven University and Temple Field University field hockey and Florida Southern College baseball.  More recently, she enjoyed following West Chester University Softball and her great grandchildren Austin and Ava explore their love for sports. In her younger years, she enjoyed Penn State Football and attended every bowl game.  She was an avid Philadelphia fan following all the major sports but especially the Phillies and the Eagles.

Faye absolutely loved her bingo and her bingo gang in Florida and Bainbridge.  Besides Bingo, she enjoyed spending time with her extended family at their cabin in Sinnemahoning, PA and being a snow bird in Davenport, Florida. While the children and grandchildren were growing up, everyone looked forward to their annual family vacation in Ocean City, NJ.   She enjoyed reading and playing cards.
