George H. Cuthbert

George H. Cuthbert, 74, of Elizabethtown, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 24, 2016 at his home of natural causes.  Born Saturday, May 30, 1942 in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late William and Sarah M. (Cain) Cuthbert.  He was married to Marcella D. (Lowther) Cuthbert until her death on April 25, 1998.

He retired from ITT Engine and Valves, Centerville in 2007 where he worked as a machinist.  George was an avid collector of various guns and knives and will be remembered as a gun enthusiast who had an extensive knowledge of firearms.

He will be lovingly missed by his children: Lori A. Bode, of Swatara; Dottie A. and husband, Jeffrey M. Porter, of Manheim; Sara A. Cuthbert, of Elizabethtown; George C. Cuthbert, of Elizabethtown and 5 grandchildren; Benjamin, Brooke, Kenny, Zachariah and Hadessah.  He is also survived by his siblings: Barbara Smith, Sally Atkinson, Joan Hartman and William Cuthbert as well as George’s extended family and caring friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at Noon on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 80 West Brubaker Valley Road, Lititz, PA  17543.  Private burial will be at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements have been entrusted with the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022, 717-367-1543.
