Our Mother, Gertrude L. Barr, an angel on earth for 99 years, was welcomed into the Savior’s Arms on Monday, October 10, 2016.

Born June 1, 1917, in Scranton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Lionel and Jennie Levy. 

Gertrude set a true example, having been married to Elwood B. Barr for 69 years until his passing in 2008.

Formerly of Elizabethtown, Gertrude was a member of Christ Church United Church of Christ in Elizabethtown and resided at the Lebanon Valley Home, Annville.

She will be missed by her two children, Clifford Barr, married to Sandra, of Elizabethtown, Audrey (Barr), married to Jim Sanders, of Manheim along with six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, October 17, 2016 in the Chapel at the Lebanon Valley Home, 550 East Main Street, Annville, PA  17003.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a viewing at the Lebanon Valley Home from 10 AM until the time of the service.  Burial will be privately held at Mount Tunnel Cemetery, Elizabethtown.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022, 717-367-1543.
