Jamie G. Williams

Jamie G. Williams, 81, of Elizabethtown, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes at his home on Tuesday, January 10, 2017.  Born Monday, January 14, 1935 in Dansville, Michigan, he was the son of the late John O. Williams and Helen (Gardiner) Walker. 

A Veteran of the Korean Conflict, Jamie proudly served with the U.S. Navy.  He went on to join the Air Force following his honorable discharge from the Navy. Jamie was an avid Michigan State fan, and loved watching football. He was also a history buff, risk taker, enjoyed traveling, and loved spending time with his family.

He will be lovingly missed by two children: Tamara N. “Tammy” Perry, of Elizabethtown and Byron T. Williams and wife, Angela, of Cincinnati, OH.  Also surviving are grandchildren Josh and wife Thera, Frank and wife Hope, Jamie and husband Chris, Paige and husband Derik, Abigail, Kennedy, and 4 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Jamie’s life will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022, 717-367-1543 with his son, Byron T. Williams officiating.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family from 10 AM until the time of the service on Saturday.  Private interment will be at the convenience of the family at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with Military Honors.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jamie’s honor to Wounded Warrior Project.
