Jane D. (Landvater) Geib

January 11, 1921 ~ June 13, 2015 (age 94) 94 Years Old

Jane D. (Landvater) Geib, 94, of Elizabethtown passed away peacefully with family by her side on Saturday, June 13, 2015 in the Masonic Village, Elizabethtown.  She was born Tuesday, January 1, 1921 in Mt. Joy Township to the late Roy R. and Pearl (Dupler) Landvater.  She was predeceased by her loving husband Clinton S. Geib.

Jane was a loving and caring mother, “the BEST,” a true gift from heaven.  Her children will always be thankful for the time they were able to spend with her learning important life lessons.  Jane was friendly, kind, caring, and thoughtful of others and had many friends at the Masonic Village, where she lived.  She was active within the Masonic Village volunteering and actively creating ceramics in the studio on campus.  She was a faithful member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church for over 60 years.  In 1989 she retired from NCR as a file clerk.  Prior to her employment with NCR she worked in the preparations department at the Savoy Shoe Company and as a seamstress for the Risser Garment Company.  Jane and her son Eugene taught ceramics and ran J&E Ceramics out of their home.  She was greatly loved and will be dearly missed.

She is survived by 2 children, Doris J. Brandt and husband Donald E. of Elizabethtown and H. Eugene Geib and wife Polly A. of Bainbridge; and a sister-in-law, Nora Geib.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 17th at 11 AM at the John S. Sell Memorial Chapel, One Masonic Dr., Elizabethtown 17022 with Pastor Gary George officiating.  Friends and family are invited for viewing from 10 AM until time of the service.  Burial will follow in Chiques Cemetery, Manheim.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Hospice of Masonic Village, 1 Masonic Dr., Elizabethtown 17022 or to the Humane League of Lancaster County, 2195 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster 17602.
