Janet B. (Boyer) Brubaker

Janet B. (Boyer) Brubaker, 76, of Hershey, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 11, 2016 at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown.  Born Tuesday, September 5, 1939 in Hershey, she was the daughter of the late Addison and Anna (Lutz) Boyer.  She was married to W. Dale Brubaker on May 20, 1961.

A homemaker, Janet was a 50-year member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Elizabethtown.  She enjoyed cooking, camping, going to the mountains and was also an avid gardener.  Above all, she will be remembered as a loving wife, caring mother and proud grandmother.

In addition to her devoted husband of over 55 years, she will be lovingly missed by a daughter, Cynthia Ann Morris and husband, Lindsey, of Elizabethtown and their children, Rye and Reed; a son, Timothy D. Brubaker and wife Holly, of Hummelstown and their children, Coleman, Nick, Kira, Megan and Emily; a sister, Mary Seibert and husband, Carl, of Palmyra as well as Janet’s extended family and caring friends.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Alvin Boyer.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 398 North Locust Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022. Burial will follow in Shenk’s Community Church Cemetery, Elizabethtown.  There will be a viewing held at the church from 10 AM until the time of the service on Thursday.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022, 717-367-1543

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Janet’s honor to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church and mailed to the address listed above or to a charity of one’s choice.
