Janice E. “Jan” (Moore) Enck, 74, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Hershey Medical Center. Born Wednesday, June 7, 1944 in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of Mary C. (Kiner) Moore and the late Harold K. Moore. She was married to Robert L. Enck on May 23, 1964.
Jan was a 1962 graduate of Elizabethtown High School. She worked as a teacher’s aide at St. Peters Catholic School in Elizabethtown and later attended Penn State University, earning a Bachelor of Elementary Education graduating in 1996. In addition to being a teacher, Jan also worked as a flower designer for several area flower shops. She served as a Sunday School teacher for many years and with her husband, Bob, counselor and Co-Director of youth camps and clergy retreats. Above all, she will be remembered as a loving wife, grandmother, sister and friend.
In addition to her husband of over 53 years, she is survived by two children: Kory R. Enck, of Elizabethtown and Lori J. Campbell, of Blandon. Also surviving are her mother, Mary, of Elizabethtown; three grandchildren: Joshua, Jakob and Claire Campbell; a sister, Ann L. Smith (William) and two brothers, Theodore L. Moore (Judy) and Michael A. Moore as well as Jan’s extended family and caring friends.
A Memorial Service will begin promptly at 3 PM on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at First Church of God of Elizabethtown, 144 South Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022. Visitation will follow the Memorial Service on Saturday. Private interment will take place at the convenience of the family in West Green Tree Cemetery, Elizabethtown.
