John E. Schreadley

John E. Schreadley, 91, of Elizabethtown, formerly of Palmyra, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at the Hershey Medical Center.  John was a devoted husband and a loving father to his children and grandchildren. Born Friday, September 10, 1926 in Harrisburg he was the son of the late Leroy and Flora (McQuilken) Schreadley. He was married 69 years to Beverly J. (Wolfe) Schreadley.

John retired in 1991 as Founder and CEO of Consolidated Insurance Services, Inc. in Palmyra. He was a 1944 graduate of Lower Paxton High School in Harrisburg and was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of WWII. John was a member of Brownstone Lodge # 666, F&AM, Hershey and Zembo Shrine, and was a former member of the Lions and Optimist Clubs in Palmyra. John and Beverly were avid travelers and enjoyed visiting destinations throughout the world.

In addition to his wife Beverly, he is survived by a daughter Melody A. Finck and husband Larry of Elizabethtown; a son John E. Schreadley, Jr. and wife Mitzi of Dunedin, FL; two grandchildren: Nicole Finck of Baltimore, MD and Heidi Miles and husband Kevin of Stewartstown, PA; a brother Richard Schreadley of Charleston, SC; two step grandchildren: Crystal Weaver of Sarasota, FL and Whitney Shaw of Dunedin, FL.

John was predeceased by his daughter Heidi Lee Schreadley and brother William Schreadley.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
