Kenneth E. Prescott

Kenneth Eugene Prescott, 57, of Washington Boro passed away on November 22, 2017.  He was born February 4, 1960 in Lancaster to Ella Mae (Forry) Prescott and the late Don C. Prescott. 

Ken attended Millersville University where he graduated cum laude.  He retired from the United States Postal Service, where he most recently served at the East York Post Office.  He was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Lancaster.  Ken loved nature, he enjoyed gardening, hiking, and all that the Susquehanna River had to offer.  He was an avid reader, enjoying poetry and art as well.  He was an excellent dog uncle to his canine nieces and nephews. 

As a family we agree that Ken was one of the best people we have ever known.  As a loving son, brother, and doting uncle to his niece and nephew he was the best.  He was a man of kindness, integrity, honor, and generosity.  He was the best of us.  He will be greatly missed. 

He is survived by 5 siblings, Donna Amspacher, John Prescott, Carol McElroy and husband Don, Steve Prescott and partner Lynn, and David Prescott; and a niece and nephew, Mollee Hollern and husband Dustin and Tyler McElroy. 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 2 PM at Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N. Market St., Elizabethtown 17022. Family and friends are invited for visitation from 1 PM until time of the service.  Burial will follow in Bainbridge Cemetery. 

Memorial contributions may be made in his honor to the Lancaster County Conservancy, 117 South West End Ave., Lancaster 17603.
