Lawrence G. Drybred, Jr., 92, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at his home. Born November 15, 1924 in Butler, PA, he was the son of the late Lawrence G., Sr. and Gladys A. (Graham) Drybred. He was married 48 years to the love of his life, Patricia A. (Williams) Drybred who passed away in June of 2000.

 Mr. Drybred was a graduate of Franklin and Marshall College. A US Army veteran of WWII, he served with the 762nd Tank Battalion. He retired as a senior industrial analyst for Bethlehem Steel Corp., Steelton. Lawrence had a wonderful sense of humor and a passion for all things in nature. He loved to camp, hunt and fish, especially in Fulton and Cameron Counties. He adored English Springer Spaniels and, was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Nebraska Cornhuskers fan. Mr. Drybred was also a life member of the American Legion, and was a member of the NRA and Conewago Rod and Gun Club; but most of all he was a loving father.

He is survived by three children: Lawrence G. Drybred (Doris Moyer) of Palmyra; Thomas W. Drybred of Elizabethtown and Amy L. Goodall (Paul B.) of Harrisonburg, VA; many dear friends, including Mr. & Mrs. Scott Benedict and their family of Elizabethtown, Margie Trefz of Middletown and Scott Richert of Lincoln, NE.

He was predeceased by a brother Donald W. Drybred who died in 2006.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 31, 2017 at Christ Church United Church of Christ, 247 South Market Street, Elizabethtown at 2:00 PM. There will be no viewing, Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of service. Interment will take place in Mount Tunnel Cemetery, Elizabethtown.
