Linda K. (Showalter) Barton

Linda K. (Showalter) Barton, 64, of Mount Joy, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Monday, September 19, 2016 at Lancaster General Hospital.  Born February 27, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Miriam K. (Walter) Showalter.  She was married to Michael D. Barton, Sr. on December 31, 1975.

Linda worked at Tyco Industries, Mount Joy for over 40 years.  She also enjoyed spending time at the family’s cabin in Snyder County.  Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her four beautiful grandchildren.

In addition to her devoted husband of over 40 years, she will be lovingly missed by a son, Michael D. Barton, Jr. and wife, Danielle, of Marietta; four grandchildren: Taylor, Emily, Michael III and Zayden Barton, of Marietta; a brother, Ronald Showalter, of Mount Joy as well as Linda’s extended family and caring friends.

Funeral Services will be held 11 AM on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022, 717-367-1543.  There will be no viewing or visitation prior to the service.  Burial will follow in Good’s Mennonite Cemetery, Elizabethtown.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Linda’s honor to the Humane League of Lancaster, 2195 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster, PA  17602.
