I attended Elizabethtown College from 2003 - 2007. Linda touched the lives of so many students. She made every student and visitor feel very welcome. I feel so lucky that I was able to talk with her almost every day for four years. She will be missed by the entire Elizabethtown College community.

Linda always made me feel special when we worked in Dining Services.
Even after her retirement, she continued sending Christmas cards and notes to me.
The last time I saw her was last summer at Meadowview Greenhouse, Manheim. I hurried over to her and received a big, warm hug.
She was a caring person who had a heart full of kindness.

As a student from 1998-2002, and years following as a coach, few people were as genuinely interested in my wellbeing as Linda. Her support from behind the bench and hugs on the way out of the cafe will always be cherished.

Of the eleven children of Henry and Helen Frey and me at being number eleven Sister Linda was the closest to me as she was number Ten. She was the sister that kept and eye on me as we were going through childhood. My memories of us as your people are learning how to Jitterbug while watching Bandstand. Also we learned to sing by a Hymenal we had at home. Back then two of our favorites were Holy Holy Holy and Beautiful Savior. Sister Linda was truly blessed with her three sons Jeff, Scott, and Matt and all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren that she was so proud of. In our adult life Sister Linda was always a support to me and all of my music endeavors. Especially I will always remember the last concert she attended to see me at the Great Swamp Picnic at New Hanover Lutheran Church in Gilbertsville. I will think of Sister Linda when ever I play a concert with my trombone.

I attended Elizabethtown College from 2001-2005. Linda was a friendly face during an intense period of transition. Leaving home isn't easy, but her consistent presence and smile helped make a bad day a better day. May her family take comfort in knowing she was there for thousands of scared college kids when they needed it most. My deepest sympathy and thoughts are with you at this time.

To the Lokey family -- Linda was a treasure for Elizabethtown College. As a member of our staff, she was a model to our students of what it means to be a person of character -- passionate about what is important, caring and supportive of others, and always acting with integrity. I regularly cited her as an example of people who were educators even thought they were not classroom teachers. She touched hundreds of students and made a difference in their lives, and we all will miss her dearly. Betty and I send our condolences along with our gratitude for her generosity of spirit that meant so much to us personally. Ted Long

Dear Family: I attended Elizabethtown College from 2000-2004 and Linda was my first friend. She made everyone feel right at home and took pride when she greeted everyone by name when we stopped by the cafeteria. We kept in touch well after College. She was one of the sweetest human beings I've ever met.

I'm so sorry to hear of Aunt Linda's passing. I just talked to her 2 weeks ago and she was upbeat and positive about her health. She has been reaching out to me as I'm having health problems myself but, she only wanted to talk about me. She was more concerned for me then herself. Even though we haven't seen each other for some time I felt very close to her. I could feel her love for me even over the phone. What an amazing person she was and her love of family will shine brightly in my heart. I will always cherish her phone calls to me and I will remember with love my Aunt Linda. Jayne and I send our condolences to the entire family. Jayne always enjoyed Aunt Linda's laughter and her friendship. Take care and be strong in your moms caring light!!

Dear Lokey Family,
I am so sorry for your loss, and the loss of the Elizabethtown community.

I attended Elizabethtown College between 2005-2008. I travelled over 400 miles to attend and did not know a single person in the state of Pennsylvania. Linda was among the first people I met upon my arrival. I was a scared 18 year old kid, and she went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable. Her company was welcome on a good day, and needed on a bad one.

To me, she was a wonderful, thoughtful, and empathetic human being. She really showed me characteristics I wanted to emulate; She helped shape me into a better person.

My deepest condolences,
Pearse Lombard
