M. Irene (Earnest) Williams

M. Irene (Earnest) Williams, 90, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 9, 2017 at Masonic Village.  Born Sunday, March 20, 1927 in Liverpool Township, Perry County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Paul S. and Mildred B. (Phillips) Earnest.  She was married to H. Eugene Williams until his death on May 18, 1980.

She is survived by a step-son, Robert Williams (Jan), of South Carolina.  Also surviving are four siblings: Truman Earnest (Annetje), of New Bloomfield; Max Earnest (Phyllis), of Liverpool; Barbara Smith, of Elizabethtown and Leah Higgins, of Harrisburg as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and caring friends.  She was preceded in death by six brothers: Harold, Homer, Lewis, Wayne, Ray and Art Earnest. 

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, October 16, 2017 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 398 North Locust Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022, with Pastor David Woolverton officiating.  Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens, Columbia.  A viewing will be held at the church from 10 AM until the time of the service.  Arrangements have been entrusted with the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022, 717-367-1543.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Irene’s memory to a charity of choice.
