Margaret G. (Wenger) Miller, 91, formerly of Mount Joy, passed away peacefully to her Heavenly Home on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at the Mennonite Home, Lancaster.  She was born April 30, 1924 in Rapho Township to the late Rufus and Elsie (Givler) Wenger.  She was married to John H. Miller for over 66 years.  John died on June 5, 2009.

 

Margaret was a member of Mount Calvary Church, Elizabethtown.  She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who enjoyed getting her family together for various reasons.  She enjoyed cooking, gardening, going to the beach as well as attending auctions. 

 

She will be lovingly missed by her children: James R. Miller and wife, Marie, of Rheems; Phyllis E. Shenk and husband, Dale E., of Lancaster; Jeffrey R. Miller and wife, Betsy, of Friendswood, TX; Jerrold R. Miller and wife, Cindy, of Manheim; Jay R. Miller and wife, Glenda, of Mount Joy; 12 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren as well as Margaret’s extended family and caring friends.  In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by four sisters, Miriam Wenger, Dorothy Graybill, Grace Eshleman and Mildred Groff as well as two brothers, Richard and Victor Wenger

 

A Memorial Service will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at Mount Calvary Church, 625 Holly Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022 with Pastor Richard Vaughn officiating.  Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family following the memorial service on Tuesday.  Private Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Kraybill Mennonite Cemetery, Mount Joy.  Arrangements have been Entrusted to the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Margaret’s Memory to Hospice and Community Care, Mount Calvary Church Missionary Fund or to Central Manor Camp Meeting Assoc.  Condolences and memories may be shared at www.millerfuneralhome.com.
