Mark A. Turner, Sr.

Mark A. Turner, Sr., 51, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at his home in Elizabethtown.  Born Sunday, November 22, 1964, in Skowhegan, Maine, he was the son of Louis B. Turner and the late Nathalie (Vaughn) Turner.  He was married to Carla K. (Smith) Turner on August 8, 1987.

Mark loved any time spent with his wife and children. He enjoyed cruises, football, and time spent at the family cabin. Mark’s life work was with C&C Insulation as an industrial insulator. He was a partner at LCBC Church where he volunteered in various capacities over the last 15 years.

In addition to his devoted wife of over 29 years, he will be lovingly missed by his children: Ashley D. Turner, of Leola; Mark A. Turner, Jr.; Dillan C.L. Turner and wife, Morgan; Eric B. Turner; Devan J.H. Turner, all of Elizabethtown; a grandson, Jax L. Turner; brother Larry Turner and wife Sylvia, brother James Turner and wife Tracy, sister Deborah Ledger, sister Rebecca McKeen and husband Dennis, all residing in his home state of Maine and is preceded in death by his brother Dennis Turner. Mark will be missed by a large number of nieces and nephews as well as extended family and caring friends.

A Celebration of Mark’s Life will be held at 11 AM on Friday, October 21, 2016 at LCBC, 2392 Mount Joy Road, Manheim, PA  17545.  A time of visitation will follow the service on Friday.  Private burial will be at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements have been entrusted with the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022, 717-367-1543. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mark’s honor to the “One Life Campaign” at LCBC and mailed to the address listed above.
