Mary B. (Ulrich) Erb

Mary B. (Ulrich) Erb, 91, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown. Born Tuesday, June 21, 1927 in Elizabethtown, she was the daughter of the late Louis J., Sr. and Lindabel (Flurie) Ulrich. She was married over 69 years to Rudolph M. Erb, Sr. who passed away on February 16, 2019.

Mary was a 1945 graduate of Elizabethtown High School, and in her earlier years worked as an X-ray technician at Lancaster General Hospital. She was a lifelong member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Elizabethtown. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who loved being with her family. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking and crafts.

Mary is survived by a son, Rudy M. Erb, Jr., of Kutztown and a daughter, Deborah M. Hummer, wife of David, of Elizabethtown. Also surviving are five grandchildren: Ronald A. Hummer, husband of Angela Benedict-Hummer, Desirée J. Carlough, wife of Forrest Carlough, Nathan M. Hummer, David E. Hummer, Jr., husband of Paige Brenner-Hummer, and Danielle N. Burke, wife of Sean Burke; 9 great grandchildren: Owen Hummer, Ava Hummer, Callison Peterson, Gia Carlough, Myla Carlough, Scarlett Hummer, Benjamin Hummer, Reid Hummer and Jewel Carlough; and a brother Jay Ulrich, husband of Kay. Mary was predeceased by three brothers: Robert, Louis and Stephen Ulrich, and a sister Doris Erb.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at Historic St. Peter Catholic Church, Park Street and Cherry Alley, Elizabethtown at 11:00 AM. There will be no viewing. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will take place in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery, Elizabethtown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mary’s memory to St. Peter Catholic Church.
