Mildred Nauss Dohner

Mildred Dohner, 91, of United Zion Retirement Community, Lititz, went home to be with her Lord on July 10, 2016 with her family by her side. Mildred was born October 19, 1924. David M. Dohner, her husband of 63 years, died August 17, 2008.

Born in Elizabethtown, Mildred was the daughter of the late Lydia and Charles Nauss. She was an Elizabethtown resident where she and David were dairy and tobacco farmers for 24 years and retired from Masonic Village in 1988.

Millie was a respected seamstress and enjoyed cross stitching, puzzles, and coloring.

Mildred faithfully attended Mt. Pleasant Brethren in Christ Church where she and David worshipped and volunteered to care for others through LOVE, INC.

Mildred is survived by five children, Shirley Fantom, married to Jacob of Peach Bottom; Ruth Dohner of Columbus, OH; Linda Ziegler of East Petersburg; Dorothy Heilman, married to Robin of North Carolina and David Dohner, married to Mim of Mt Joy; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren. Mildred is preceded in death by 4 brothers George, Harvey, Claude and Earnest and 3 sisters Clara, Mabel, and Anna Mary.

Mildred will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and church family.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Mt. Pleasant Brethren in Christ Church, 1756 Mt. Pleasant Road, Mount Joy, PA  17552 with Chaplain Ethan Levengood officiating.  Burial will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.  There will be a viewing held at the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022 between 7:00-9:00 PM on Wednesday evening and also at the church from 1:30 PM until the time of the service on Thursday.
