On Wednesday, May 6, 2015 the kindest of men made his passage to the mountains of heaven to be able to hunt free of pain and physical restrictions. Ray Marlin “Herk” Alleman, Jr., 51, of Bainbridge, was born Thursday, July 4, 1963 in Harrisburg to Ray M., Sr. and Mildred M. (Fink) Alleman. He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Kathy A. (Lokey) Alleman.
Ray was employed at Risser Automotive as a mechanic. He was a faithful member of St. Luke’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and a Mason in Ashara-Casiphia Lodge #551. He was an avid outdoorsman belonging to Milton Grove and Sinnemahoning Sportsman Clubs as well as Conewago Rod and Gun Club. Ray loved hunting and fishing and spending time at the family cabin in Cameron County. His greatest joy in life was his family and friends, he enjoyed the reunions and celebrations that would bring them all together.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a son, Joey Alleman and wife Ashley; 2 brothers, Russell Alleman and wife Danett and Brian Alleman; 2 sisters, Patti Szobocsan and husband Steve and Melissa Bickel and husband Garry; numerous nieces and nephews; and grand nieces and nephews that adored their Uncle Herk.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 11th at 11 AM at St. Luke’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 106 N. 2nd St., Bainbridge 17502 with Pastor Emily Styer and Rev. A. Preston Van Deursen officiating. Family and friends are invited for viewing on Sunday, May 10th from 6-8 PM with a Masonic Service to follow at 8 PM at Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N. Market St., Elizabethtown 17022 and on Monday at the church from 10 AM until time of the service.
