Richard Kero Plummer, Sr.

Richard Kero Plummer, Sr., 81, of Elizabethtown and formerly of Fairless Hills, PA passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 4, 2015 at M.S. Hershey Medical Center of natural causes.  He was born Monday, December 4, 1933 in Lancaster to the late Ambrose S. and Senia O. (Kero) Plummer.  He was married to Catherine F. (Fickling) Plummer on September 18, 1955.

Richard was a veteran proudly serving with the U.S. Navy.  He was also a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Elizabethtown and a member of Abraham C. Treichler Lodge #682 F. & A.M., Elizabethtown.

In addition to his wife of nearly 60 years, he will be lovingly missed by four children: Margaret S. Norman and husband Wayne, of Greencastle; Patricia A. Berg and husband Michael, of Sterling, VA; Richard K. Plummer, Jr. and wife Nellie, of Levittown; Mary Elizabeth Makela and husband Michael, of Perkiomenville, PA; four grandchildren, Melissa, Sarah, Daniel and Matthew as well as Richard’s extended family and caring friends.  He was predeceased by two granddaughters, Rebecca and Emily.

Memorial Services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 125 East High Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022 with the Rev. A.J. Domines officiating.  Burial will follow in the adjoining church memorial garden.  Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022.
