Robert T. “Bob” Dudley
Robert Thomas “Bob” Dudley, 93, of Elizabethtown, entered into rest on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at Lancaster General Hospital. He was born Wednesday, July 27, 1921 in Port Carbon, PA to the late William R. and Bertha (Leisher) Dudley. He was first married to Betty Mae (Tregembo) Dudley. Betty died in April of 1991. He later married Marie E. (Farrell) Dudley who passed away in July of 2010.
A Veteran of WWII, Bob proudly served with the U.S. Navy and was the recipient of the Pacific Theater Ribbon, American Theater Ribbon, Good Conduct Ribbon, Defense Ribbon “A”, Victory Medal and Philippine Liberation Ribbon. Bob was a member and past master of the Norristown Lodge #620, F.&A.M. for over 50 years, receiving the 32nd Degree. He was also a member of the Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Norristown Chapter.
Bob retired from Eastern Industries, Inc., Lehigh Valley, where he worked for many years. Prior to Eastern Industries, he worked at General Crushed Stone Company.
He will be lovingly missed by two children: Babette D. Fiebiger, wife of Jud, of Warner Robins, GA; Robert C. Dudley, husband of Joelie, of Palmyra; five grandchildren; one great granddaughter; a half brother, Jack Dudley, husband of Marlene, of Schuylkill Haven as well as Bob’s extended family and many caring friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 3, 2015 at 10:30 AM in the Sell Chapel at Masonic Village, One Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, PA 17022 with The Reverend A. Preston Van Deursen officiating. Masonic Services will be conducted at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville with full Military Honors. Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to view in Sell Chapel on Monday from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
