Rodney Eugene Miller

Rodney Eugene Miller, 75, of Elizabethtown, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at Hospice and Community Care in Mount Joy. Born Sunday, August 8, 1943 in Elizabethtown, he was the son of the late Roy M. and Helen Miller. He was married 52 years to Mary F. (Martin) Miller. 

He was a member of Conoy Brethren in Christ Church, Elizabethtown. A carpenter, Rodney was worked with his brothers in their contracting business. He was active in competitive archery both locally and nationally. He enjoyed hunting, softball, baking and being a caring friend for those he was knew.  He was also the caretaker of Conoy Brethren in Christ Cemetery.

In addition to his wife Mary, Rodney is survived by three children: Donna Miller of Manheim; Meribeth Mathews and husband Dave of Boise, ID; Jason Miller and wife Tina of Knoxville, TN; seven grandchildren and four brothers: Robert Miller and wife Mae of Milton Grove; Blaine Miller and wife Carol of Virginia; Wayne Miller and wife Sue of Elizabethtown and William Miller and wife Melody of Elizabethtown.

A celebration of Rodney’s life will take place on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Conoy Brethren in Christ Church, 1722 Bainbridge Road, Elizabethtown, PA 17022 at 3:00 PM. There will be no viewing. The family will greet relatives and friends at a fellowship meal immediately following the service. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
