Rosemary (Eisenhauer) Steiner

Rosemary (Eisenhauer) Steiner, 90, formerly of Lebanon, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at St. Anne’s Retirement Community, Columbia.  Rosemary was born on Saturday, January 30, 1926 in Lebanon to the late Charles and Marie (Springborn) Eisenhauer.  She was married to Russell I. Steiner for nearly 45 years until his passing on September 27, 2001.

A homemaker for most of her life, Rosemary also worked as a bank teller at Hamilton Bank in St. Lawrence, PA for over 10 years. She also worked in the Pentagon during World War II.   She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Elizabethtown.  Above all, she will be remembered as being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

She is survived by her children: Robert J. Steiner and wife, Kathy, of Earlville, NY; Jane L. Kaylor and husband, Steven, of Elizabethtown; James R. Steiner and wife, Cheryl, of Horseheads, NY and Peter C. Steiner and wife, Kathy, of Wilmington, DE; 11 grandchildren: William and wife, Kristine Steiner, Christy Steiner, Robin Steiner, Jacob Kaylor, Connie Kaylor, Tom Steiner, Kelli Steiner, Ryan Steiner, Mary Kathleen Steiner, Shannon Steiner, and Kyle Steiner; 2 great grandchildren: Madison and Ben Steiner and her two sisters, Helene Eisenhauer, of Lebanon and Sister Ruth Eisenhauer, SSJ of Flourtown, PA.  Rosemary was preceded in death by her Eisenhauer siblings: Charles, Henry, Lucy, Joseph, Marie, and Richard.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Friday, April 22, 2016 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 904 Mill Road, Elizabethtown, PA  17022 with Rev. Steven W. Fauser as Celebrant.  Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family from 10 AM until the time of the mass on Friday.  Burial will follow in Covenant Ebenezer Greenwood Cemetery, Lebanon.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N. Market St., Elizabethtown 17022, 717-367-1543.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Rosemary’s honor to St. Anne’s Retirement Community, 3952 Columbia Avenue, Columbia, PA  17512 or to the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 2 North 8th Street, Lebanon, PA  17406.
