Saundra M. (Forwood) Wise

Saundra Mae (Forwood) Wise, 78, of Elizabethtown, formerly of Hershey passed away peacefully with family by her side on Sunday, November 15, 2015 in the Masonic Village.  She was born Tuesday, September 19, 1937 in Florin to the late Raymond H. and Dorothy B. (Flowers) Forwood.  She is survived by her loving husband Richard Earl Wise, Sr.. 

Saundra graduated in the first graduating class from Donegal High School 1955.  She was a member of the Hershey Evangelical Free Church as well as a member of Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 509.  Saundra was an avid knitter and enjoyed gardening.  Most importantly she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  

She is survived by 4 children, Holly Tarver and husband Dennis of Arlington, TX, Rick Wise and wife Lori of Lebanon, Gwen Weigle of Elizabethtown, and Lori Shiery and husband David of Enola; 10 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by a step-mother, Rebecca Forwood; a son-in-law, George Weigle; and 4 brothers.  

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 20th at 3:15 PM with an Order of the Eastern Star service at 3 PM in John S. Sell Memorial Chapel, One Masonic Dr., Elizabethtown 17022 with Pastor Brian Farling officiating.  Friends and family are invited for viewing from 2 PM until time of the service.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Mt. Tunnel Cemetery.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N. Market St., Elizabethtown 17022.    

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the Masonic Village at Elizabethtown and mailed to Office of Gift Planning, One Masonic Dr., Elizabethtown, PA 17022 or American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312 .
