Theresa E. “Tess” Fetter, 95, of Elizabethtown, PA passed away peacefully on August 13, 2017 at the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown.

She was predeceased by her husband, Rev. Dr. Raymond L. Fetter with whom she shared 66 years of marriage, parents B. Roy and Marie (Hartman) Eberly and a brother, Rev. Henri A. Eberly.

Tess is survived by 2 nieces, Krista Olnick and Andrea Styer and 3 great-nieces and nephew, Kelsey Olnick, Hannah (Olnick) Romanauskas, Jenna Styer and Chad Styer.

Tess graduated from McCaskey High School in 1940, Temple University in 1944 and the Philadelphia School of Fine Arts from which she received her Masters in Music degree.

She served as organist of Grace Lutheran Church, Lancaster, PA from 1944-1946 and Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Elizabethtown, PA from 1947-1986.  She continued to serve as a supply organist for Lutheran Churches in the area until 2003.

Tess was a member of Musical Arts Society, Lutheran Church Women where she served as president and secretary, and the Order of the Eastern Star.  She played in the marimba band on Steel Pier for several years, served as accompanist for the Rotary Club in Elizabethtown and taught piano and organ at Patton School in Elizabethtown and Elizabethtown College as well as having many private students.

She and her husband enjoyed traveling, having visited many countries and serving as counselors and teachers for Camp Nawakwa in Arendtsville, PA.  They also hosted 32 foreign studens by way of Rotary International.

Tess continued her life-long love of music by giving lessons and playing the organ for the residents on BF3 at the Masonic Village and attending weekly church services in the Health Care Center.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff on BF3 of the Health Care Center at Masonic Village and the Masonic Village Hospice for their passionate and professional care of Tess during her stay with them.

Her life will be remembered during a Celebration of Holy Communion on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 125 E. High Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022 with the Rev. Albert J. Domines, STS, officiating.  There will be an organ recital in Tess’s memory from 10:30 AM until the time of the service.  Interment will be at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements have been entrusted with the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022, 717-367-1543. 

Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the music program of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 125 E. High Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022.
