Verna C. (Sipling) Brosey

Verna C. (Sipling) Brosey, 92, formerly of Bainbridge, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown.  She was born on Thursday, October 4, 1923, in Rowenna, PA, to the late Raymond M. and Estella (Clausen) Sipling.  She was married to Kleeman D. Brosey for over 47 years until his passing on June 12, 1994.

Verna was a 1940 graduate of Bainbridge High School.  She will be remembered for her devotion to her Christian faith and was a lifelong and faithful member of Bainbridge Church of God. 

She will be lovingly missed by her children; Kathy B. Loucks and husband, Paul and Ken D. Brosey, and wife, Linda, both of Bainbridge; three grandchildren: Michael Loucks, Bethany, wife of Tony Troxel, and Melanie, wife of John Birkenbine; four great grandchildren: Evan and Grace Troxel, Kade and Beckett Loucks and Baby Boy Birkenbine as well as Verna’s extended family and caring friends.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five siblings: Harry Sipling, Dorothy Shoemaker, Marie Dietrich, Ray Sipling and Howard Sipling.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM on Friday, May 27, 2016 at the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N. Market St., Elizabethtown 17022, 717-367-1543.  Burial will follow in Bainbridge Cemetery.  Closed casket visitation will be held from 1 PM until the time of the service on Friday.
