Funeral Service: Friday, June 12, 2009 at 11:00 AM

VERA JEAN GREINER
Vera Jean Greiner, 84, of Elizabethtown, died on Monday, June 8, 2009 at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown. Born in Rapho Twp., she was the daughter of the late Norman and Fannie Ginder Heistand. She was the wife of the late Earl R. Greiner who died in 1977. A 1943 graduate of Elizabethtown High School, Vera was a member of the First Church of God in Elizabethtown. Mrs. Greiner had been employed as a guest counselor and switchboard operator by Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, but her first priority was being a homemaker. She used her creativity in writing and art, and enjoyed poetry. Vera was a devoted wife and a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and was loved by everyone who knew her. She was preceded in death by her son, Lee (Li) R. Greiner who died in 1993 and a brother Clarence Heistand. Vera is survived by three daughters: Lucy Greinermiller, Elizabethtown; Sukey Shearer, Bainbridge; Miki Mabel Greiner, Elizabethtown; seven grandchildren: Seth Greinermiller, Casey Greinermiller, D. Hunter Shearer, Amber Horvath, Lydia Greinermiller, Lana Greinermiller and Cleo Norris; three great grandchildren: Nedina, Kyler and Matthew. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 12, 2009 at the John S. Sell Memorial Chapel, Masonic Village, Elizabethtown at 11:00 AM. Friends may call on Friday at the chapel from 9:30 until the time of service. Interment will take place at the Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in Colebrook.
