Funeral Service: Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at 11:00 AM

RALPH D. KAUFFMAN, SR.
Ralph D. Kauffman, Sr., 82 of Elizabethtown, passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at home surrounded by his family. Born in Milton Grove, he was the son of John and Mary (Dupler) Kauffman. He was the husband of Florence M. (Arndt) Kauffman. They were married for 61 years in September 2009. A plumber, Mr. Kauffman was employed by Kaylor-Garman Plumbing and then in maintenance at Masonic Villge, both in Elizabethtown. After retirement, he worked part-time in maintenance at Norlanco Medical Center, Elizabethtown. Ralph was always active and usually fixing or working on something. He was a member of Milton Grove United Methodist Church and was known for making homemade ice cream at the church's stand at the Elizabethtown Fair. He was a regular at McDonalds for morning coffee and good conversation. Ralph also enjoyed hunting and fishing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Bruce, who died in 1971. Surviving are his wife Florence; a son: Ralph D., Jr., husband of Cindy Kauffman, Elizabethtown; two grandchildren: Nathan, husband of Veronica Kauffman and Natalie, wife of Curtis Leach; three great grandchildren: Brock Leach, Wyatt Leach and Roderick Kauffman; seven sisters: Sadie Dupler, Pauline Dohner, Mae Cooper, Vera Arndt, Lorraine Ginder, Velva Heisey and Rosalie Mayer; and four brothers: Arthur, Jae, John, Jr., and Roscoe Kauffman. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Milton Grove United Methodist Church, 2026 Cloverleaf Road, Elizabethtown, PA 17022 at 11:00 AM. Friends may call on Monday at Miller/Sekely Funeral Services, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown from 6:30-8:30 PM and on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 until the time of service. Interment will take place in Elizabethtown Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Milton Grove United Methodist Church.
