Beatrice E. (Lancaster) Romig

Beatrice E. (Lancaster) Romig, 90, of Elizabethtown, went to heaven to be with her family who went before her, on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Masonic Village. Born Sunday, September 11, 1927 in Elizabethtown, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Mary (Shank) Lancaster. She was the wife of the late William H. Romig, Sr.

Beatrice was a wonderful mom and an amazing grandma and great grandma. She loved to shop and do anything she could to spend time with her family. Nothing brought her joy more than the “little ones” in her life. She would talk and laugh about their antics and how cute they were until the end. She also kept her sense of humor until the end as well. Even her nurses would tell us how she made them laugh while under their care at Masonic Village. She will leave our hearts sad but her spirit will be with us forever.

She is survived by three children: William H. Romig and wife Sharon of Mount Joy; Diane Romig Smolinski and husband Doug of Mount Joy; Gregory Romig and wife Beverly of Elizabethtown; eight grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; a sister in law Gloria Lancaster and, many nieces and nephews.

Beatrice was predeceased by 12 siblings and a great granddaughter Addie.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 6, 2018 at Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022 at 11:00 AM. Viewing will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will take place in Goods Mennonite Cemetery, Elizabethtown.
