Carol Ann (Lehman) Bender

Carol Ann (Lehman) Bender, 72, of Mount Joy, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 26, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy, following a courageous battle with cancer.  Born Tuesday, May 1, 1945 in Lawn, PA, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Helen (Holley) Lehman.  She was married to Bruce R. Bender on June 21, 1971.

Carol enjoyed taking care of her yard and loved her pets.  In addition to working on her yard, she also enjoyed her flowerbeds and was especially fond of daisies, which were her favorite.  Above all, she will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

In addition to her husband of over 46 years, she is survived by her children: Jolene M. Sponhower and husband, Kevin, Todd R. Bender and Tracy L. Bender.  Also surviving are her grandchildren, Samantha L. Sponhower, Ashley M. (Sponhower), married to Ryan P. Uhler and two great grandchildren, Caleb P. and Cameron M. Uhler.

Services and Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements have been entrusted with the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022, 717-367-1543.
