Catherine "Cas" M. (Musser) Lawrence

Catherine “Cas” M. (Musser) Lawrence, 94, formerly of Stern Drive in Elizabethtown, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, June 3, 2018.  Born Sunday, April 6, 1924 in Elizabethtown, she was one of fourteen children to the late Oscar and Emma (Flory) Musser.  She was married to John E. Lawrence for over 44 years until his death on Tuesday, Decembr 5, 1989.

Cas worked as a waitress at the former Clearview Diner, Elizabethtown, for over 49 years.  She attended Maytown Church of God. 

Cas enjoyed vacationing at the beach and visiting the mountains of Wellsboro, PA.  She also enjoyed gardening, playing cards and spending lots of time with her family.  She will be remembered for her kind words and advice and especially, her great cooking.

She is survived by her children: John Lawrence, of Woodhull, NY, Barbara Bitner, of Elizabethtown and Charles Lawrence and wife, Gayle, of Bainbridge.  Also surviving are 6 grandchildren, John, Christina, Doug, Shaun, Chuck and Angie, 22 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, three sisters and four brothers.  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Peifer, two grandchildren, Jodi and Vance, a son-in-law, Dennis Bitner, as well as three sisters and three brothers.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022, 717-367-1543.  Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens, Columbia.  There will be a viewing held at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 AM until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Catherine’s honor to Maytown Church of God.
