Diane E. (Brown) Gerlach

Diane E. (Brown) Gerlach, 77, of Bainbridge, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2019, at Lancaster General Hospital.  Born Saturday, February 28, 1942, in Rome, NY, she was the daughter of the late Leonard S. and Helena R. (Austin) Brown.  She was married to Richard A. Gerlach for over 41 years until his death on December 2, 2007.

In her earlier years, Diane worked at various nursing homes in the area, but the job Diane enjoyed the most, was being a loving grandma.

She is survived by three children: Michael A. Gerlach, of Bainbridge, Michele E. Gerlach, of Lancaster and Robert L. Gerlach, of Bainbridge.  Also surviving are two siblings: Barbara Hodierne, married to Edward, of Taberg, NY and Dale Brown, married to Gwenn, of Oneida, NY; two granddaughters: Emily E. Gerlach and Sarah N. Gerlach; a daughter-in-law, Robin Polaskey, of Elizabethtown; numerous nieces and nephews as well as Diane’s very loyal, protective and furry companion, Foxy.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, David Brown.

Private services will take place at the convenience of the family.  Private interment will be in Bainbridge Cemetery.  Arrangements have been entrusted with the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022, 717-367-1543.
