Doris J. Hendricks

Doris J. Hendricks, 68, of Elizabethtown passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Hospice & Community Care in Mount Joy. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Donald J. and Lillian M. (Charleston) Means. She was widowed by her husband, Stephen E. Hendricks in 1991.

She retired from working as a paraprofessional in the learning support department of Elizabethtown Area School District.  In her free time she enjoyed cooking and watching NASCAR. She loved taking trips to the beach, especially Ocean City, MD where she would enjoy a morning walk on the beach with a  cup of coffee.

Doris is survived by her daughter Stephanie K. Hendricks, and sisters Donna K. Geib and Nancy M. Homsher, all of Elizabethtown. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Gerald Nissley, Larry Nissley, and Linda Longenecker.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3PM on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N. Market St., Elizabethtown, PA 17022 with Barb and Willy Keener officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:30-3PM prior to the service. Burial will follow at Goods Mennonite Cemetery.
