E. Jean (Hipple) Craun

E. Jean (Hipple) Craun, 82, formerly of Elizabethtown, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2017 in Lancaster. Born Saturday, July 14, 1934 in Elizabethtown, she was the daughter of the late Paul W. and Mary (Nye) Hipple.

Jean was retired from Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, where she was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She continued to work into her 80’s for various home health agencies. She enjoyed knitting, with some of her work being donated to local hospitals, and also enjoyed bus trips.

Jean is survived by four children: Geri Lyn Cross and husband John of Morrisville, NC; James J. Craun of Lancaster; Keith E. Craun and wife Sheryl of Matthews, NC and Brian D. Craun and wife Vicky of Lancaster; five grandchildren: James C. Craun and wife Joy; Alex B. Craun and wife Frouke; Emily J. Craun, Adam J. Craun and Jared A. Cross; and three sisters: Arlene O’Connor, Joyce Snyder and husband Nelson, and Lois Straub.

She was predeceased by a son Craig E. Craun and a sister Paula Haseltine.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 14, 2017 at Falmouth United Methodist Church, 180 Falmouth Road, Bainbridge, PA 17502 at 11:00 AM. Viewing will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will take place in the adjoining cemetery.
