Edna E. (Murphy) Getty, 98, of Elizabethtown and formerly of Glen Mills, PA passed away peacefully on Friday, April 26, 2019 at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown.  She was married to David C. Getty for over 76 years until his death on Thursday, February 26, 2015.
Edna was quoted in her High School Yearbook as saying “Time and Edna wait for no man”.  For over 40 years she cared for and was in charge of the Sunday school prekindergarten nursery program at her churches in Ridley Park and Glen Mills, PA.  Edna and Dave moved to Masonic Village from Glen Mills PA in 1995.  Edna was a well known and loved volunteer at the Masonic Gift Shop.  She was also a devoted member of Saint Luke’s Episcopal Church in Mount Joy.

Edna is survived by two daughters: Joyce Hallman, wife of Robert and Judith Leach, wife of Richard; predeceased by a third daughter, Carol Barnett.  Also surviving, are 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and caring friends. 

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 10:30 AM in Sell Chapel at Masonic Village, One Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, PA  17022.  A time of visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the service on Saturday.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022, 717- 367-1543
