Etta G. (Geib) Brubaker, 100, formerly of Elizabethtown, died on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at United Zion Retirement Community, Lititz.  She was married to Charles E. Brubaker for over 70 years until his death in March of 2005. 

She was the daughter of the late Isaac and Minnie (Hershey) Geib.  Etta was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, flowers and sewing.  She enjoyed making girls dresses for the needy in the U.S. and overseas.  She also enjoyed visiting with family and friends, traveling in most U.S. States and some foreign countries. 

She was a member of Mount Hope Mennonite Church, Manheim.

She is survived by ten children: J. Allen Brubaker (Erma), of Harrisonburg, VA; Glenn Brubaker (Josephine), of Whitesville, NY; Charles Brubaker, of Deansboro, NY; Roy Brubaker (Esther), of Elizabethtown; Mark Brubaker (Ruth), of Elizabethtown; Helen Haldeman (Samuel), of Danville; Mildred Feliz (Jose), of Elizabethtown; Nancy Fahnestock (James), of Stevens; Janet Rios, of Orwigsburg and Lois Horst (Mervin), of Fort Mills, SC.  She was the grandmother of 57 grandchildren; 184 great grandchildren and 30 great-great grandchildren.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Wilbur Brubaker; two sisters; four brothers; a daughter in law, Mary Brubaker and a son in law, Tony Rios.

A public viewing will be held on Friday, June 2, 2017 from 6:00-9:00 PM at Mount Hope Mennonite Church, 1969 Mastersonville Road, Manheim, PA  17545.  Private Funeral Services will be held at the convenience of the family and private burial will take place in Stauffer Mennonite Cemetery, Hershey.  Arrangements have been entrusted with the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022, 717-367-1543.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Etta’s memory to Mount Hope Mennonite Church and mailed to the address listed above.
