Helen Willison Obituary

Helen P. (Radcliffe) Willison, 90, formerly of Elizabethtown, died peacefully on Monday, July 2, 2018 at Spang Crest, Lebanon, PA.  Born Friday, December 9, 1927 in Ridgeley, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Robert A. and Mae (Zembower) Radcliffe.  She was a 1945 graduate of Beall High School, Frostburg, MD.

Her husband, Willliam A. Willison and son, Jerry W. Willison preceded her in death.  She was the last member of her generation of the Willison and Radcliffe Families.  She’s been met with many opened arms welcoming her home.

She is survived by four children; Ruth Lee Murr, and husband, Barry, of Maumee, OH, Connie Guare, and husband, Gary, of Newmanstown, Brian Willison and wife, Judy (Cashman), of Etters and David Willison and wife, Stephanie (Brajkovich), of Mount Joy.  Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

Helen was a homemaker most of her life, but her love of reading led her to working in her later years at the Elizabethtown Library where she also volunteered her time.  She loved her many friends at Whistle Stop View Apartments and talking to her “adopted son” Mychail in the mornings and being together with her family.  She was also a member of Hempfield Brethren In Christ Church, Lancaster.

Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Service at Redland Valley Brethren in Christ Church, 3555 Lewisberry Road, York Haven, PA  17370 on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 2 PM with Pastors Brian Willison and Barry Murr officiating.  Private interment will be held at a later date at Vale Summit United Methodist Church, Vale Summit, MD where she will be laid to rest next to her loving Pop.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022, 717-367-1543.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Helen’s memory may be made to Caring Hospice Services, 101 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA  17603.
