Jay H. Snook, 80, of Bainbridge, passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown. Born April 30, 1938 in Mount Joy, he was the son of the late Marvin and Anna (Garman) Snook. He was married to Esther R. (Fansler) Snook on May 22, 1971.
A Veteran of the Vietnam War, Jay proudly served with the U.S. Army.
In addition to his wife of over 47 years, he is survived by three sisters: Helen Snook, Lois Snook and Evelyn Kaylor (Michael); three brothers: Dale, Wilbur (Bondia) and Galen (Shirley) Snook as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and caring friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, Clair Snook.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 10 AM at Ludwig United Methodist Church, 149 Race Street, Bainbridge, PA 17502 with Pastor Douglas G. Hill officiating. A committal service will be held at 2:30 PM on Wednesday at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville with full military honors. There will be a viewing held at the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022 on Tuesday from 6-8 PM and also at the church on Wednesday from 9 AM until the time of the service.
