Jerrilyn M. Ocampo, 75, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 6, 2019. Born Wednesday, January 21, 1944 to the late Ernest F. and Iva L. (Young) Clasing.
Jerrilyn graduated from the Towson State Teachers College and continued on to work for the Baltimore Orioles and also teach English for many years. She also worked as an international sales manager and enjoyed playing Pinochle with her card club gals. She was a faithful member of St. Edward’s Episcopal Church, Lancaster. Most importantly she was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.
She is survived by her children: Paul Ocampo, Beth Hake and husband Jerry, step daughter Denise Smith and husband Kirt and step son Mark Petersheim and wife Missy; grandchildren, Morgan Ocampo, Seth Hake, step granddaughter Cassidy Petersheim and fiancé Jacob Swindle, step granddaughter Julie Margaglio and husband Russ, and step grandson Brian Smith and wife Steph; great-grandchildren, 7; sister Jacqueline Murphy and husband Mike; and sister-in-law, Joanne Clasing. She is predeceased by a son Mario Ocampo and a brother Ernst Clasing.
Funeral service will be held Monday, March 11, 2019 at 4PM at St. Edward's Episcopal Church, 2453 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601 with The Rev. David Bateman officiating. A time of viewing will be held from 2PM until the time of service. Burial will be private at a later date at Holly Hill Memorial Gardens, Baltimore, MD. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N. Market St., Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
