Joan R. (Roth) Witmer

Joan Ruth (Roth) Witmer, 78, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, where she resided for the past five years. Born Monday, January 29, 1940 in Highspire, she was the daughter of the late John and Ruth (Wright) Roth. She was the husband of Keith G. Witmer. They would have been married 59 years in June.

Joan had a heart of gold and would always reach out to anyone in need. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and an adoring friend to so many. At Christmas time, she would hand handwrite 2 to 3 page letters in about 25 cards. She was an avid gardener, an expert seamstress, loved to do jigsaw puzzles and had a passion for interior design.

In addition to her husband Keith, Joan is survived by a daughter Lisa M. Kruger and husband Kevin; and grandchildren: Kyle J. Kruger and Alexandra H. Kruger, all of Middletown, DE.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at John S. Sell Memorial Chapel, Masonic Village, Elizabethtown at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until the time of service and also immediately following. Interment will be private.
