Our thoughts & prayers are with you all as you celebrate Les's life. We are blessed to have known him & count it a privilege to have been welcomed into your family all those years ago. We are saddened by his departure but rejoice that he is no longer suffering & best of all is now in the presence of his Savior. Oh to have seen the welcoming committee of those Mt.. Calvary saints who've gone before! Take comfort in knowing that you'll see him again. Love you all.

Hazel --- So sorry to learn of Lester's passing --- What a great man and Christian he was --- You were such a great couple --- I will never forget, and will always appreciate, the many times you and Lester visited Sam and Mary in their latter, failing days --- For you, and your family, Jo Ann and I extend our very sincere and heartfelt sympathy --- You know we will miss him at our semi-annual gathering of cousins --- God Bless you and yours --- Sam

Lester Hawthorne was so friendly to everyone he met and always had an encouraging word for young and old alike. He was a godly example of a mature man during my years at Mt. Calvary Church. I remember him and his family fondly.
