Mary R. (Barb) Wise

Mary R. Wise, 86, of Manheim, formerly of Middletown, passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Pleasant View Retirement Community. Born Tuesday, January 5, 1932 in Middletown, she was the daughter of the late Calvin and Lucy Barb. She was the wife of Bruce R. Wise who passed away in January 2008.

Mary was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church in Manheim and a former member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Middletown. She retired in 1997 from Frey Village where she was the morning cook for over 20 years. She previously worked at the Empire Shoe Factory, and was a farmwife for 50 years.

Mary is survived by two sons: Richard E. Wise and husband Steven Mazoki of Blackwood, NJ and David R. Wise and wife Elizabeth H. of Manheim; five grandchildren: Melissa, Rachel, Abigail, Matthew and Lydia; six great grandchildren: Ashley, Madison, Rebecca, Zayden, Chase and Natalie; and two sisters: Betty Eberly and Pat College.

She was predeceased by a great grandson Bruce William Gay.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022 at 11:00 AM. Viewing will be from 9:30 AM until the time of service. Interment will take place in Ebenezer Cemetery, Middletown.
