Michael A. Moore, 66, of Marietta, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Monday, March 25, 2019 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born Sunday, February 1, 1953 in Harrisburg, he was the son of Mary C. (Kiner) Moore and the late Harold K. Moore.
A Veteran serving during the Vietnam War, Mike proudly served with the U.S. Army. He worked in the Warehouse at Wyeth Labs in Marietta for a number of years. Mike was also a member of the VFW in Snowshoe, PA and a member of the Marietta American Legion. He enjoyed cooking, hunting, fishing and drinking beer. He will be remembered by his family as being “his own color in the crayon box”.
He is survived by his mother, Mary; a sister, Ann L. Smith, wife of William; a brother, Theodore L. Moore, husband of Judy; a brother-in-law, Robert L. Enck, all of Elizabethtown as well as Mike’s extended family and caring friends. He was preceded in death by a sister, Janice E. (Moore) Enck.
A Committal Service will be held at 9:30 AM on Friday, March 29, 2019 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA with full military honors. Arrangements have been entrusted with the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022, 717-367-1543.
