Orpha Romain (Lynn) Drescher

Orpha Romain (Lynn) Drescher, 92, of Bainbridge, passed away peacefully with family by her side at the Masonic Village, Elizabethtown where she resided for the past 3 years, on Saturday, August 4, 2018.  Born Thursday, August 20, 1925 to the late Luther and Hazel (Stump) Lynn.  She is predeceased by her husband Charles S. Drescher since March 25, 2014 after being married for 68 years.

She graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1942 with perfect attendance and a report card reading all A’s.  She was later employed at Klein Cholcolate Co., RCA, Armstrong World Industries and Engle Printing Co.  Orpha was a proud homemaker who enjoyed leisure walks through her beloved hometown of Bainbridge and providing a comfortable and loving home for all of her family.  She was an avid bingo player who later in life picked up the hobby of reading, especially Danielle Steele novels.  She was also a proud member of the St. Luke’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bainbridge.  Most importantly she loved her family.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.

She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Ciccarelli and husband Joe, and April Furhman and husband Earl; 5 grandchildren, Chuck and Ken Gainer, Scott Flowers and wife Lavon, Jim Flowers and wife Loraine, and Michelle Osterland and husband Matt; 5 great-grandchildren, Taylor Trosell, Brayden Osterland, Jimmy Flowers, Josh Flowers, and Nicole McKee; and 2 great-great-grandchildren, Rowen and Adelle McKee.  Orpha is predeceased a sister Jenny Hixon.

A private graveside service will be held at the Bainbridge Cemetery, Bainbridge.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N. Market St., Elizabethtown, PA 17022.  Memories and condolences may be shared at www.FinkenbinderFamily.com.
