Robert E. Focht, 80, of Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, formerly of Harrisburg and Hollidaysburg, PA, died November 11, 2018. Born September 9, 1938 in Three Springs, Huntington County. He was the son of the late George M. and Thelma F. Focht, Hollidaysburg.
Robert was a 1956 graduate of Hollidaysburg Area High School and attended Pennsylvania State University. He was a member of Robert Burns Lodge #464, Harrisburg, Juniata Lodge #282, Hollidaysburg, Altoona Consistory, and Jaffa Shrine, Altoona. He previously attended Crosspoint UMC of Harrisburg.
Robert retired from Verizon after 34 years of service as a Building Manager. He enjoyed tailgating at Penn State Football games, all Penn State sports, Pittsburgh Steelers, and watching the stock market activity on a daily basis.
Surviving is his wife of 36 years, Nancy (Patton) Focht, daughter Brenda Amoroso (Joe) of Fort Myers, FL, son Scott Focht (Sherri) of Etters, grandchildren, Morgan Silverman (Sean) of Mays Landing, NJ, Andrew Basti (Jessica) of Schnecksville, and Mitchell Focht of Pittsburgh, four great grandchildren, Olivia and Tessa Basti, and Dakota Dantuono of Schnecksville, and Emily Silverman of Mays Landing, NJ. Additionally surviving is the mother of his children, Kay Focht of Mechanicsburg, brother Walter, sister Bonnie Moyer, both of Hollidaysburg, sisters Connie Hartman of Duncansville and Peggy Stiffler of Williamsburg, sisters-in-law Margie Focht of Hollidaysburg and Marcia Focht of Annville. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Wilbur (Bill) and George (Butch).
A Funeral Service will be held at 11AM on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at the Sell Chapel of the Masonic Village, 1 Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, PA 17022. A viewing will be held from 10-11AM prior to the service. Burial at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Harrisburg will be private and at the convenience of the family.
