Robert C. "Bob" Miles

Robert C. “Bob” Miles, 87, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at home surrounded by family. Born Friday, August 8, 1930 in Elizabethtown, he was the son of the late Russell and Ruth (Campbell) Miles. He was married 60 years to his beloved wife C. Romaine (Miller) Miles.

Bob was a 50-year member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church and American Legion Post #329, both in Elizabethtown. He was a US Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict. Bob worked for his longtime family businesses, Shearer’s Furniture and Bob’s Flower Shop. He also worked for Armstrong, Warner-Lambert and later for Mueller’s Flower Shop. Bob loved spending time with his grandchildren. He loved his cats Ollie, Sara and his son's dog Tasha. He was also passionate about books, all cars, trains and Civil War history.

In addition to his wife Romaine, he is survived by two sons: Michael S. Miles, Australia; Daughter-in-law Christine Miles; Terry A. Miles husband of Trudy, Bainbridge; two grandchildren: Tessa N. and Tory M. Miles.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 398 North Locust Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022 at 7:00 PM. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until the time of service. Interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.
