Rose Marie (Seitz) Hudzick

Rose Marie (Seitz) Hudzick, 80, of Elizabethtown, passed away with family by her side at Lancaster General Hospital on Wednesday, August 1, 2012. She was born October 24, 1931 in Elizabethtown to the late J. Earl and Anna (Schmidt) Seitz. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Michael B. Hudzick, in 2000.

She is survived by a son, David E. Hudzick and wife Lynda of Elizabethtown; 2 daughters, Marie L. Brandt and husband Paul of Elizabethtown and Michele E. Crum and husband Kenneth of Elizabethtown; 7 grandchildren, Joseph and Benjamin Hudzick, Andrea Michener, Michael and Stacy Smith, and Taylor and Trevor Crum; 3 great grandchildren, Austin Liskey, Addison Michener, and Ella Smith; and a brother, C. Edward Seitz of Indiana. In addition to her husband she is predeceased by a sister, Teresa Meszaros; and a brother James Seitz.

She was a graduate of Elizabethtown H.S. class of 1949 and St. Josephs Hospital School of Nursing class 1952. She previously worked as a nurse at Masonic Village and Manor Care Nursing Home. She enjoyed being a homemaker, reading, crossword puzzles, and spending time with her family. She was a life long member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Elizabethtown.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, August 7th at 10:30 AM at Historic St. Peter Catholic Church, Park St. and Cherry Alley, Elizabethtown, PA 17022 with Monsignor Thomas J. Kujovsky as celebrant. There will be no viewing. Burial will follow at St. Peter Church Cemetery, Elizabethtown. Arrangements have been entrusted to Miller-Sekely Funeral Home & Crematory,
130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to St. Peter Historic Church Preservation Fund, Park St. and Cherry Alley, Elizabethtown.

The family would like to thank the staff at Heathstone Manor, Dr. John Yoder from Norlanco, and Dr. Michael Reihart at the Lancaster General Emergency room for their loving and compassionate care of our mother.
